Factions

Each character is required to be a part of a faction. Factions are, in a sense, alliances. Characters may be a part of only one faction.


There are three factions:


  • School

    • Students

  • Nuetral

    • Lucky Spades

  • Government

    • Chimera



However, there are individual orginizations/groups within each, that have specialties, or purposes. Below, in the following posts, are a description of each faction, or group within a faction. You are not required to be in a group, however. For example, you can be in the Neutral faction, without being a part of the Lucky Spades.

Students are one of five ranks.

  • Pawn
  • Rook
  • Bishop
  • King or Queen
  • Knights


The school has five ranks for the students that attend it. With new ranks there opens up new privileges and opportunities. These ranks are decided by both good behavior and the student's mutant ranking, thus it is in every students benefit to be both well mannered and diligent in mastering their powers.

Student uniform is also decided by the rank of the student. Each rank has it's own unique uniform to show other students and teachers the power level of this student. This prevents most student from picking fights that they are sure to lose. It also makes those of the Knight rank know how much force they should use to defeat any trouble makers.

Current Students of the Lyon's School for Gifted Minds:

  • Pawns

    • M15-20;;

        Pawns are what nearly all students start out as. They of course have access to most school areas but have absolutely no special privileges of their own, this can be infuriating to many of this rank.

        The pawn's school uniform is a black blazer with red trim, with a red tie and white button up shirt. A small vermilion pawn chess piece insignia is embroidered in on the chest. Males are required to wear black pants, females are allowed to wear either pants or a skirt. Mini skirts are not allowed.

  • Rooks

    • M10-14;;

        Rooks are what are considered the intermediate class. Rooks are allowed to leave campus on scheduled leaves, they are also given a monthly allowance that is based on their grades.

        The Rook uniform is very much like the Pawn, the only major differences is their trim and ties are a deep green, they had a Rook insignia instead of a Pawn, and they are allowed to wear things such as hats, bandannas and other accessories as long as they are green.

  • Bishops

    • M5-9;;

        Bishops have all of the privileges of the Rooks, plus they are granted a larger allowance, are allowed scheduled access to the lecture hall, their curfew is now 10 PM and they only must inform a teacher of their leaving school grounds and be back before curfew.

        The Bishop uniform is the first to take any real change. Their uniform consists of a white blazer with blue trim and matching tie, a bishop insignia, white pants/skirt and then they also are allowed to wear more casual shirts (minus the tie) as long as it is school appropriate.

  • Kings and Queens

    • M1-4;;

        Since it is so rare to actually have students of this power level they have many special privileges. They are allowed full use of the school at all times, are allowed to leave the school at any time and are allowed to take a school vehicle when they want to also they are allowed to use a school credit card.

        Students of this class are allowed to wear whatever clothing they want during school hours(as long as it is school appropriate.) so long as it has a black insignia of a king and queen chess piece.

  • Knights

    • M1-10;;

        Knights are the school's enforcer rank, the only way to become a knight is to be recommended by a teacher and to be at least a M10. Being a knight means that they are allowed to fight in school to quell any fighting and are able to give other students detention. They also have all of the privileges of a King or Queen.

        Knights wear a uniform that is completely different from any other class. They wear black vest with a white knight chess piece insignia on the back, armbands colored to their positions, and are allowed to wear person articles. They are equipped with small com units that fit neatly into one ear, hand cuffs and stun batons to quell disgruntled students.

The Lucky Spades are made up of three branches.

  • Ace
  • Court
  • Numerals


Each of these branches consists of a certain amount of members. The Lucky Spades have only recently become known, but over the past four years, they've been making a name for themselves. Their Boss, or 'Ace', is a mutant that goes by the name of Eve. The Lucky Spades are known as a neutral group of people, but, in truth, they are more on the Mutants' side than the Government, as they are known to harbor Mutants for some time, while all amounts of money offered by the Government for information is refused.

Lucky Spades has a limited amount of positions, and no one quits. Once you're in, you're in for life. Members are replaced by new recruits who have been trained rigorously, and though some have come searching for a post, some are selected if they have caught the eye of a higher ranked member.

Now, as mentioned, Lucky Spades is known for their harboring of Mutants, obviously illegally. They are also involved in Black Markets, drug deals, and prison breaks. Their boss, who the Government has failed to gather information on, is not one to leave breadcrumbs. Eve is a name well known to all agents, as their is quite the bounty on her head.

The Lucky Spades is a secret orginization, that the Goverment constantly fails to fully recognize. The name only brings the image of a slummy bar to mind, who's entire image often makes people wonder why people continue to go there. But the Goverment is suspicious, and thus contnue to send officials to investigate. However, it's rare their officials return.

Beneath the surface of their slummy bar, are two underground levels, though the bottom level is a secret to all. The middle floor is the fight arena, where the Lucky Spades easily redeem themselves, with a spacious underground dome-like structure, complete with glass tables and plush red seating furniture. The carpet is a deep maroon, and along the far back wall is a long bar, where drinks are made, and bets are placed. In the center of the room, is a glasses in area, where Mutants are known to fight to the death, an entertainment for all guests over the age of twenty-one.

The 'secret' floor beneath the middle is a supply room of sorts, that only Lucky Spades' members know about. It is there that their vault is located, secure and safe. Within this vault are countless amounts of money, as well as illegal items the owner has collected. Outside the vault, and down the hall, is a large room, where cots and blankets have been set up for a few mutants who have been smuggled here, awaiting safe paperwork and credentials to move about above ground.

  • Humans are not allowed to be a part of the Lucky Spades. It is a Mutant based organization.

    • Ace;;

        The Ace is also known as the Boss. This person is well trained in their abilities, and oversees the entire group. S/he is mentally strong, as well as physically(or strong with their powers). S/he calls all of the shots, and is always there for her/his group. The Ace is known to be completely in charge of harboring Mutants.

  • Court

    • King

        The King is much like the second in command, though in the Lucky Spades the Dealer hardly ever is in need for the King to take over. The King is in charge of Numerals X, IX, and VIII, as well as overseeing the jobs of breaking imprisoned, innocent Mutants out of Custody. The King is also in charge of the Ground Level of the LS Club, as it is important that no human get through the back door.

    • Queen

        While all of the Court are equals, the Queen would be second to take on the position of Dealer if the current Dealer and King were put out. The Queen is in charge of Numerals VII, VI, and V, as well as overseeing all drug deals. The Queen also looks after the middle floor, and all fights, as well as making sure no one gets through the door to the last floor.

    • Jack

        The Jack is the closest person to the Numerals, and knows each of them well. S/he is known to assist the Dealer when troubles happen within the lowest group. S/he is only to get the position of Dealer if the Ace, Kind, and Queen are all incapable. The Jack is in charge of Numerals IV, III, and II, as well as overseeing matters with the Black Market. The Jack oversees all security for the bottom floor, and is in charge of making sure all stowaways are comfortable and safe.

    • Joker

        The Joker is a mental neutralizer, so to speak. This person is one that Evianne uses when dealing with mutants with some sort of mental power. The person works as a canceller, and prevents any harm from coming to the Spades by doing so.

  • Numerals


      All Numerals are under the drect command of a Court member. The Dealer is always able to override a command that a Court member has made. Numbers have no specific order, they do not mean higher strengths or weaknesses. Numerals are often seen as the grunts of the group, though they are respected despite their low status in the group.

        Is the Bartender for the First Floor of the Lucky Spades Club.

        Is the Waiter/ress for the First Floor of the Lucky Spades Club.

    • VIII
        Is the Bouncer for the first floor of the Lucky Spades Club.

        Is the Bar Tender for the Luck Spades' Second Floor.
        Current: None

    • VI
        Is the Waiter/ress for the Lucky Spades' Second Floor.
        Current: None

    • V
        Is the Bouncer for the Lucky Spades' Second floor.
        Current: Akand Templar

    • IV
        Is one of the Security guards for the Third floor's vault.
        Current: None

    • III
        Is one of the Security guards for the Third floor's vault.
        Current: None

    • II
        Is the Host for the Refugee Area of the third floor.
        Current: None
